UPCOMING EVENTS
FinnFest Fair and Rummage Sale
Hello Everyone! It is official, we will have a FinnFest Fair and rummage sale that will be a FinnFest 2008
Fundraiser. It will be Saturday, April 12 from 8 AM to around 1:00 PM. It will be held at the First United Methodist
Church @ 230 E. Skyline Pkwy., also known as "Copper Top Church".
We will have FF regisitrations and help people register, and explain what is happening at FF. They can also sign up to be volunteers. The Cultural Committee will have one event as a preview of FinnFest 2008....maybe the DNA project, as there is a lot of interest on that subject. There will be a little spot to stop and have coffee, pulla, and to visit. There may even be a roving musician at times. We of course need to get rummage. The fall sale had a lot of items, and we
hope to get some good items again. So; as you start your spring cleaning....save the stuff you're getting rid
of for our sale. Last fall books, VHS tapes, DVD's, household items went well. Clothing also went well if it
was in good condition.
Set up will be Friday afternoon. Start passing the word around, so we have a good
turn out. Once again, thanks for everyone's help; as this wouldn't be possible without the great work everyone
is doing. Further information will be sent as we get closer to the date; but for now....start cleaning!.

About Finn Hall
Finn Hall Band is a group of musicians dedicated to preserving the feel and sounds of dances at the Finn Halls found in most Finnish-American communities in the late 1800's into the 1950's. Finn Hall remains true to the original tunes, and has added dances that were just coming into vogue in the 50's and 60's - like the humppa and tango. Their first CD "Reflections/Muistelmia" was released in the summer of 2002.
